Day 5 started early in the morning, at around 5. We had a lot of driving to do this day
First stop was Hvitserkur, the Elephant Stone in the sea. Funny story is that when we went near it, there was a sand bridge, but as the tide was coming in, it was water everywhere and i had to carry Ela in the back as i was walking through water
We also seen live animals, birds and seals
The small churches from the middle of nowhere had a very nice vibe, a sense of peace and quiet and mindfulness.
We were heading now into Westfjords Peninsula, one of the most remotes areas of Iceland
After countless hours on windy roads, we reached the Dynjandi Waterfall, unique in it’s way.
We were heading now to Latrabjarg, the westernmost point of Europe.
On the way we also found some hot springs …
… Reykjafjardarlaug …
… a beautiful sunset …
… and wild white beaches.
