Day 2 started in the best way possible, with the perfect view at the bottom of Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
We enjoyed a coffee and a hotdog, and went to the next amazing thing, Skogafoss.
We also went on a 6km hike up the Skogar river, where everything was so green and out if this world, and we couldn’t believe our eyes.
Near Skogafoss there is a big camping area, with tents and caravans, and the people and vibe was very friendly and nice
Close by there was Skogar Museum, a traditional museum with old beautiful folk houses and everything was fairytale-ish.
The clip was also filmed here 😀
Further up there was another amazing waterfall, Kvernufoss, and we took 4km walk there, through a private land (hehe, feeling like villains)
It was around 11 already, so we got back in our car and went for Vik, but on the way we spotted the glacier Sólheimajökull, so we stopped for a hike onto the glacier.
On Vik we went on the black sand beach, but a sudden rain caught us unprepared, so we had to run for shelter, near a lighthouse up the coast. We also have seen the first puffins here.
The landscapes were changing all the time, and we were trying to keep our focus on driving, we were stopping all the time for pictures
Our next stop is Fjarrgljfur Canyon, well known from Game of Thrones, it was the base for the army of Mance Rayder from Beyond the Wall.
We went for a hike and after that we had our lunch break, a well deserved hot soup we made there ;D
It was already late in the afternoon, and the sun started to set, but the landscapes were so amazing that we could not believe our eyes.
Jökulsárlón Glacier was the base camp for the night, we got there late at night, camped and went for sleep. We visited the following day.
